Did you know, all RCMP service members are covered for chiropractic services without the referral of an MD? Also,  All members of the  Canadian Services and Veterans with coverage can attend the office without cost or referral.

Our office supplies a wide variety of braces, and orthopaedic devices including cervical support pillows.  We can and will help you with the processing/paper work of your  chiropractic health care coverage with your insurance carrier.

3D Orthotics

3D electronic impression technology for custom casting of orthotics for improved posture and gait is available on site. Check your insurance coverage and we can improve your comfort and the support of your feet with personally, custom-fitted orthotics.

DR. MARY-IRENE PARKER

 

Born in Advocate Harbour, Nova Scotia, Dr. Mary-Irene Parker returned home to practice chiropractic in Cumberland County and she has spent her entire career serving her neighbours and visitors to the area as well as being a frequent volunteer sports coach and Sports First Responder to such events as the 2015 Pan Am Games.  Read more below to know about her awards and accomplishments.

WCB Injury

Dr. Parker is a WCB approved provider of chiropractic health care and you may contact her directly at 902-254-3232 immediately after your accident.  You do not require a referral from any other medical or health care service and you do not require referral from your company’s ‘preferred provider’.  At the time of writing Dr. Parker is the only WCB chiropractor in Cumberland County approved to provide chiropractic health services to you, the injured worker and you may contact her at 902-254-3232 to make an appointment or to get answers to work-related injury questions.  After any injury at work the health care goal should be 2-fold:  to return you to work healthy and to return you to work promptly.
*Reminder:  You should complete a report of your injury  within 24 hours.

Cervical Support Pillows

Cervical support pillows help to provide proper cervical (neck) alignment and support throughout your sleeping hours.  These soft, support pillows are covered under most insurance programmes.

Cold Laser therapy

Cold Laser Therapy is a non-invasive treatment/therapy used to reduce the inflammation and swelling of injured joints as well as their related muscles and nerves.  The arthritic pain of knees and wrists, the chronic pain of tendonitis conditions such as Carpal Tunnel Syndrome are reported to respond  well to Cold Laser Therapy.

3D Orthotics

This state-of-the-art medical device is used to provide custom orthotics specifically designed and built for you, to support your feet and cushion the upward transfer of pressure that is a part of every step we take.  Custom Orthotics can even ‘soften the blow’ of daily walking on cement floors.

Sports Events

Sports Events.   Dr. Parker is a qualified Sports First Responder with experience at such events as the 2015  Pan Am Games. She is available for attendance and service at a limited number of sporting  events at no charge.

Kinesio Taping

Kineso Taping (KT)  You have already seen this brightly coloured tape on the shoulders, knees and backs of olympic athletes as part of their health care regime in care of sore muscles, damaged joints, bruised tissues and swelling.  You may see it again when the 2016 Olympic Games is televised in August!  This therapy is also available to you;  Dr. Parker is a certified provider of KT.
